About Kunshort AppLinks
Kunshort AppLinks exists to solve a small but constant annoyance for app makers: sharing your app means sharing two links — one for Google Play and one for the Apple App Store — and hoping people tap the right one. Every bio, every ad, every printed box forces the same compromise, and half your audience pays for it.
Kunshort AppLinks turns your Google Play and Apple App Store URLs into a single smart link. Every visitor who opens it is detected by device and forwarded to the store that can actually install your app — Android users to Google Play, iPhone and iPad users to the App Store, and everyone else to a preview page with both buttons and a scannable QR code.
It is free, needs no account, and takes about a minute. There is nothing to install in your app, no SDK, no domain to verify, and no change to your build or release process.
What we care about
- Free, with nothing held back
- There is no paid tier withholding the useful part. Link creation, routing, the preview page, and the high-resolution QR download are the whole product, and they are all free.
- No account, ever
- Requiring a signup to generate a URL is a tax on the user for the benefit of the vendor. You paste two URLs and you get a link.
- No tracking of the people who click
- The redirect reads the User-Agent header to pick a destination and stops there. No tracking cookies, no advertising profiles, no fingerprinting of your audience.
- Links that keep working
- Anything printed is a promise. Links do not expire on a timer, so a QR code on a box does not quietly stop working because a trial ended.
What it deliberately isn’t
Kunshort AppLinks is not an attribution platform, a mobile measurement partner, or a deferred deep-linking suite. It does not tell you which campaign produced which install, because doing that properly means an SDK in your app and a great deal more data about the people who tap your links than we want to hold.
It is also not a Universal Link or Android App Link setup — those open a specific screen in an app that is already installed, and they require configuration on a domain you own. The how-it-works page draws the boundary precisely.
What is left is one job, done properly: get the person holding a phone to the store that can install your app.
